Submit a deletion request

Email [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL] with the subject “Manage data deletion request”. Requests are handled by [LEGAL BUSINESS / ENTITY NAME]. These placeholders must be replaced with a monitored contact address and the verified legal operator before this page is submitted to Meta.

Information to include

• For a Manage account: the email address used for the account.
• For WhatsApp or SMS: the phone number used, including country code.
• The project or organization you communicated with, if known.
• An approximate communication date range to help locate the correct records.

Do not include passwords, message content, government identification, or other sensitive documents in the initial request.

What happens next

1. We acknowledge the request and ask for only the information reasonably needed to verify identity and locate the records.
2. We determine whether Manage or the relevant customer/project organization controls the requested project data. If necessary, the request is referred to that organization.
3. After verification, eligible personal information is deleted or anonymized from active systems. If an account is involved, an authorized workspace administrator performs the account deletion.
4. We confirm completion or explain any information that must be retained and the reason, subject to applicable law.

Scope and timing

A request may cover contact details, stored WhatsApp/SMS messages and their metadata, or a Manage account. Removal from backups and provider systems may follow those systems’ normal deletion cycles. Meta, WhatsApp, Twilio, and other independent services may retain information under their own policies; you may need to contact them separately.

The response period depends on applicable law and the time needed to verify the request. Manage’s source code does not currently define a fixed response deadline, so no deadline is promised on this page.

Before requesting deletion

Deleting project communications may affect other authorized project participants and contractual project records. We may preserve information that must be kept for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, disputes, or the rights of others. Where full deletion is not permitted, access may instead be restricted or identifying information anonymized when appropriate.
